Dr. Christina J. Rios

Christina J. Rios, DNP, APN, AGNP-C, is an experienced Nurse Practitioner with a strong background in primary care, geriatrics, and palliative care. Fluent in Spanish, Christina is dedicated to delivering high-quality, compassionate care, with a focus on chronic disease management, pain management, and patient education.

Her comprehensive clinical skills and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams have consistently enhanced the quality of care for her patients.

Christina’s career spans a variety of healthcare settings, where she has managed complex patient cases and developed individualized care plans. She has extensive experience in both hospital and outpatient clinic environments, providing care to patients with diverse needs, including those with chronic conditions and terminal illnesses.

Her clinical expertise includes performing thorough physical assessments, prescribing medications, managing pain, and providing support to patients and families navigating serious health challenges.

In addition to her clinical work, Christina has led a significant Quality Improvement Project on Chronic Non-Cancer Pain Management, which focused on reducing opioid reliance and increasing access to in-house specialists for patients with chronic pain.

The project resulted in improved patient care outcomes, including increased adoption of non-opioid therapies and greater referrals to in-house specialists, demonstrating her commitment to innovative, patient-centered care.

Christina is now accepting new patients at Omega Physicians for both telehealth and in-person visits. She looks forward to providing primary care services, where she will focus on a wide range of healthcare needs, including routine check-ups, chronic disease management, mental health care, and preventive services.

With a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in Adult-Gerontology Primary Care from Rutgers University, Christina is committed to applying evidence-based practices and fostering strong relationships with her patients.
